Punch of Love (Part 1)

I started to write this short story of mine last December 28, 2010, at the same time as I have written the article about New Year. However, this narration was nailed, and never followed up by me, since we started to get busy. I decided to post some part of it, since I think that it still a long way to go to complete this one.

Now, how come a category of short story is posted with a long one? :D

I do still remember how I spent my life during my high school days, where I enjoy everything I do, not unless it’s an assignment or some academic-related activities. I always seek to find happiness and freedom to do the things I want to do. Despite of being lazy, immature boy growing up in secondary school, I still achieve high grades.

It was one of my second year time when the biggest dilemma in my high school life turn in front of me. And because of that happening, my father has done something to me worth to tell me that he loves me. That's was worth memorable. So, let me tell you everything. It's my confession.

Second grading has just started when a program is to be held in the college gymnasium, which is to give an appreciation to a certain college student for having that certain achievement (I just forgot what it was). Days are fast moving, and the day that I'm talking about was to be held. Everyone is invited in the said event, but the high schools students are required to attend. Now, the program has started but I wasn't there yet. Can you guess where I am? If you think about an internet cafe, well, you got it right. Otherwise, you're wrong – obviously. (^^,) I was still at the preferred internet cafe, just in front of the main gate. (Well, if my friends and/or classmates can't find me, they know the last option they will be searching for.) I was still busy playing online games with few of my classmates, who are also my colleagues of playing MU online, Gunbound and Fairyland. When our time ended, we ran out, and headed to the gym immediately. I'm not going there if it wasn't for the attendance.

We arrived there just in time. Yes, just in time that the program was about to end. That was about three to four in the afternoon, I bet. But then, the awardee just raised an open challenge, specifically a quiz, that the winner will receive Php500. That was pretty big at those times, but I don't aim for it. However, for the sake of the word 'try', I wrote my answer in a ¼ sheet of paper and submitted together with my classmates. Then we went out.

After few days, two of my classmates and I, were called in the principal’s offices and congratulated us for being chosen as the best answers during the said program. That was for the High School Category. We were, then, summoned to the School of Teacher Education to receive our prizes. I didn’t expect to win!

Without a doubt, I know how and where to spend my money. If you’re thinking with those games I said before, then yes. It’s not that bad, but what I did is bad. Confused? Yeah, me too. Just kidding.

The bad side is that I didn’t just spend my money in computer games but I didn’t go to school. That was thursday, when I didn’t go. Instead, I went to the internet café and played the whole day, and just went home at the time it is certain for student to go home.
